Syntax:

show running-config


Syntax Description:

This command has no arguments or keywords.


Command Description:

This command allows you to view the current configuration in the RAM. This configuration is the active configuration, and changes made to the router will show up in this configuration file. Since it is stored in the RAM, any changes not saved will be gone when the router resets.


Example:

Misconceptions:

IOS 12.0 and newer versions replaces show running-config with the command show running-config.
