Command:

periodic

Mode:

Router(config-time-range)#

Syntax:

periodic days-of-the-week hh:mm to [days-of-the-week] hh:mm

Syntax Description:

days-of-the-week  Defines the beginning or ending day of the time range.
hh:mm Defines the beginning or ending time of the time range. hh is the 24 hour time and mm is the minute.

Command Description:

To specify a recurring (weekly) time range for functions that support the time-range feature, use the periodic time-range configuration command. The days-of-the-week argument can be any single day or combinations of days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, as well as daily (Monday through Sunday), weekdays (Monday through Friday), or weekend (Saturday and Sunday).

The first occurrence of the hh:mm argument is the starting hours:minutes that the associated time range is in effect. The second occurrence is the ending hours:minutes the associated statement is in effect. Times are expressed in a 24 hour clock, therefore 8:00pm would be entered as "20:00". Entry of the to keyword is required to complete the range "from start-time to end-time."

Example:

The following instruction defines a reoccuring time period of Monday and Tuesday from 8 AM until 3 PM.
Router(config-time-range)#periodic monday tuesday 8:00 to 15:00
