Syntax:


dns-server {hostname | address} [hostname2 | address2 ... Hostname8 | address8]

no dns-server


Syntax Description: 

address The IP address of the domain name server
hostname The  name of the domain name server

Command Description:

This command specifies the IP address of a DNS server that is available to a DHCP client. To disable this feature, use the no form of this command.


Example:

The following example will define two domain name servers (192.168.0.10, and 10.0.0.20) in a DHCP pool named "house".

Router(config)#ip dhcp pool house
Router(dhcp-config)#dns-server 192.168.0.10 10.0.0.20
